Overview

Khaptad-Badimalika Trek, this specially curated trek connects three major attractions of the western Himalayas – Khaptad, Rama Roshan and Badi Malika. While Khaptad is known for its sprawling grasslands and spiritual values, Rama Roshan is home to beautiful lakes and grasslands. Similarly, Badi Malika is the home of the goddess Malika and hence a popular pilgrimage sites for people from Nepal as well as India. What sets this trek apart from other conventional treks is natural scenery, sprawling grasslands, breathtaking mountain views, unique culture, tradition and lifestyle of the local people. It is pristine and unspoiled. Unlike other parts of Nepal, local people worship Masto. Masto is the main deity of Khas people who inhabit the area. Masto gods do not have any specific image like other Hindu gods and goddesses. People communicate with the gods through Jhankris or shamans. You cannot find this tradition elsewhere in the world. Trekking in this part of Nepal is entirely different form the Everests and the Annapurnas which are crowded with thousands of trekkers in peak seasons. Here, you could be only one foreigner on the trail.
